The Job
This was a hard but fun tree removal project. We removed a large Oak tree from Dewart Lake located in Syracuse, IN. This was a challenging tree removal due to limited access to the water front. As a result, the job took 2 full days and 4 workers to complete.
There was no way to get any large equipment to the water front. Due to this limited access we had to climb this tree and use our GRCS system to rig it out. Normally, for this type of job we would use a Bobcat and Lift, but access was very limited. To remove the large wood we had to chunk it all and then split the large pieces so that they could be hauled out. We used a log splitter and a John Deere lawn tractor and wagon to haul out each piece.
After this project we are seriously considering buying a barge for these type of lake projects! We are working with our friends at Socks Marina to make this happen!
